Co-Op Preschool Offers Best of School and Family Experiences

The Co-Op Classroom
There are two parent volunteers in the class at all times to assist the two early-childhood certified teachers. This equates to each family volunteering two times per month. The high adult-to-child ratio creates a warm and nurturing environment where childrens’ needs are met quickly, and the class doesn’t have to stop if one child needs extra attention. Parents also hold one "job” which ranges from serving on the board of directors to making play dough each week or helping to plan the field trips.

The 4's Class
The four-year-old program is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:15-11:45 am or 12:45 — 3:15 pm and is limited to 20 children per class. The registration fee and paperwork is required to hold a spot in any class.
The 3's Class
The three-year-old program is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 am — 11:15 am or 12:15 - 2:15 pm and is limited to 15 children.
The Parent/Tot Class
The parent/tot program for two-year-olds with a parent on Fridays 9:30 - 10:45 am or 11:15 - 12:30 pm. This class is limited to 10 students.
*Please note that all afternoon classes are available based on demand.

Clarkston Co-op, founded in 1969, provides an active-learning based curriculum filled with many developmentally appropriate activities to introduce concepts of literacy, music, dramatic play, art, woodworking, cooking and many field trips. What sets the co-op apart from other “drop and go” preschools is that parents are voting members of the co-operative and are involved in and out of the classroom.

Sibling Care to be offered Fall 2012!
We are offering a Sibling Care program for fall 2012! This program will be in it's second year running and
will provide parents with younger children/infants on-site child care during their volunteer time in the classroom.
This will bridge the gap for the parents looking for that hands on, in class experience but needing
someone to watch the younger children while participating.
*Space is limited so inquire today! Fees will apply.
